The Sculptra® treatment is a minimally invasive procedure in which poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) is injected into the skin to stimulate the body’s own collagen production. The aim is to compensate for volume loss, tighten the skin and revitalize the face in the long term.

The treatment

The Sculptra® treatment is minimally invasive, performed under local anesthesia and is generally well tolerated. The poly-L-lactic acid is introduced in small, targeted quantities into the deeper layers of the skin, where it stimulates the body’s own collagen production and gradually builds up the volume. Depending on the treatment area and extent, the treatment usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes. No rest time is required immediately afterwards, so you can leave the practice straight away and resume your daily routine.

The aftercare

Slight redness, swelling or localized bruising may occur after the treatment, but these usually subside within a few hours to days. The skin often feels a little tight at first, which is part of the natural regeneration process. Make-up can usually be applied on the same day and sporting activities are also possible in a short space of time. As Sculptra® develops its effect by gradually building up collagen, the result intensifies over several weeks and is reinforced over several sessions.

Important: To achieve an optimal effect, we recommend the so-called 5×5×5 rule. Massage the treated areas 5 times a day for 5 minutes each time for 5 days. This targeted massage supports the build-up of the body’s own collagen, ensures an even result and contributes significantly to the treatment achieving its full potential.
