What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a medical-aesthetic procedure in which the skin is selectively punctured with fine, sterile micro-needles. These micro-injuries

stimulate the body’s own production of collagen and elastin,
promote skin regeneration and
improve the absorption of active ingredients.

The result is visibly firmer, smoother and revitalized skin.

Microneedling is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles as well as scars, stretch marks and uneven skin texture. The treatment causes the maxi components to fill in the existing scars on the skin, making them less noticeable. Microneedling is also used on the head – the therapy also stimulates hair growth.

We carry out this gentle method with a short downtime in our practice using a so-called derma roller or derma pen. During treatment, after careful disinfection, wafer-thin needles cause micro-injuries, which activates the regeneration of the skin and promotes cell renewal. The use of microneedles also results in the formation of new matrix components such as collagen, elastin and the body’s own hyaluronic acid. This gives the skin firmness, elasticity and moisture.

The preparation

The treatment

A special microneedling device is used to guide fine needles evenly over the skin, creating small micro-channels. These tiny injuries stimulate the body’s own production of collagen and elastin. At the same time, active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or vitamins can be introduced into the skin in a targeted manner to support regeneration and visibly improve the skin’s structure. The aftercare

After treatment, the skin may be slightly reddened and sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn. These reactions usually subside within 1-2 days. Immediately afterwards, sun exposure, sauna sessions and heavy sweating should be avoided and special care products can support the healing process.
