How It Works
How does Thermage® FLX work?
Thermage® FLX is a monopolar radiofrequency system with capacitive coupling. It uses a reverse thermal gradient: the deeper layers are heated, while the skin’s surface is protected by cooling. This non-invasively tightens, smooths, and contours the skin.
The tip is placed on the skin using the handpiece.
The vibration begins, and the cooling mechanism protects the skin’s surface.
Through vibration, the heat generated penetrates deep into the tissue.
At the same time as deep heating, the skin is cooled in three stages.
A final cooling cycle brings the pulse to an end—gently and in a controlled manner.
A key advantage of Thermage® FLX is its ability to reach deeper layers of the skin without damaging the skin’s surface. The treatment harnesses the body’s natural regenerative mechanisms and helps the skin improve its elasticity over the long term.

It’s important to us to understand your individual expectations and to work with you to develop a realistic treatment plan. You’ll receive all the important information about the treatment, the expected results, and the costs. This way, you can make your decision at your own pace and with confidence.
The Treatment
First, the skin is thoroughly cleansed and the treatment areas are marked. Then, Thermage® FLX technology is used to deliver controlled radiofrequency energy to the deeper layers of the skin.
Thanks to the integrated cooling system, the skin’s surface is continuously protected. Many patients find the treatment to be virtually painless and report only a brief sensation of warmth during the delivery of energy.
Depending on the treatment area, the session lasts between 30 and 90 minutes. Afterward, you can usually leave the office right away.
Aftercare
After treatment, mild redness or a sensation of warmth may occur. These reactions are usually temporary and subside within a short time. No special downtime is generally required. Most patients can resume their normal daily activities immediately.
While an initial tightening effect is often visible right after treatment, the actual result develops gradually over several months. During this time, the body produces new collagen, and the skin gradually gains firmness and elasticity.
