In breast augmentation with autologous fat, excess fat is first removed from a problem area, such as the thighs or abdomen. The treatment therefore has a double effect: firstly, unwanted fat is permanently removed and secondly, the breasts are naturally enlarged.
After liposuction on a problem area, the extracted fat is processed and carefully filtered in order to obtain the largest possible number of intact fat cells. The fat harvested from the patient’s body is injected into the breast using fine cannulas. The amount of fat is calculated precisely in advance.
How does a breast augmentation in Frankfurt work?
The preparation
Patients undergoing surgery should generally refrain from taking blood-thinning medication, nicotine or alcohol for around two weeks before the procedure. Sobriety is required on the day of the operation.
In a detailed consultation, we will inform you about all the steps of the operation, possible risks and the choice of implant – personally and transparently. We will then decide together which size and shape best suits the desired result. Before the operation, a blood test and, if necessary, an ECG are also carried out to ensure that you are fit for surgery.
The treatment
Breast augmentation is usually performed under general anesthesia and takes around 60 to 90 minutes. The high-quality silicone implants are inserted either via an access in the underbust crease, the armpit or the areola – depending on the anatomical conditions and the patient’s individual wishes. Depending on the findings, the implants are placed either under the breast muscle (submuscular) or above it (subglandular). Thanks to the gentle fast recovery technique, the procedure is particularly gentle on the tissue, which makes healing and returning to everyday life much easier.
The aftercare
On the first day after the operation, we carry out initial wound care and check whether everything is healing as expected. Due to the preparation of the implant pocket using the fast recovery technique, you will hardly experience any pain after the procedure. Patients tend to describe a slight feeling of pressure. After just a few days, many patients are able to go about their daily lives as normal, although it is important to take it easy and avoid sporting activities for around three weeks. We will provide you with painkillers just in case. In addition, we are always available for you should any questions or problems arise – for your well-being and safety.
